Hot Buttered Bourbon

Since we don't distill rum, we created a killer Hot Buttered Bourbon. Rich, creamy, boozy, and warm, this toasty treat has become a wintertime staple in the Boot Hill Distillery Tasting Room.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter batter*

  • 3 oz hot apple cider

  • 2 oz Boot Hill Distillery Bourbon

  • Hot water

Directions:

Add butter batter and cider to a mug and stir until dissolved.

Add the bourbon and top with hot water.

Garnish with a fresh or dehydrated apple slice, cozy up, and enjoy.

*Butter Batter

  • 1 lb butter, softened

  • 2 1/2 C brown sugar

  • 1/3 C cinnamon

  • 1 barspoon** ginger

  • 1 barspoon** allspice

  • Add all to a bowl and mix until combined and creamy.

  • **A barspoon is roughly the same measurement as a teaspoon.
