While you don’t have to look for a reason to enjoy a glass of bourbon, when you pair it with the perfect treat, the complementary flavors are irresistible! We found great chocolate to pair with our Bourbon. First, to get to know our bourbon, time and patience bring you a Kansas Bourbon worthy of the Boot Hill legacy. Boot Hill Distillery Bourbon is pot-distilled in 500-gallon batches. Hot, dry summers, bitterly cold winters, and the obstinate western Kansas wind do the rest. What emerged from the barrel is worth dueling over with notes of caramel, dried fruit, and spice. We bring our Bourbon to a pleasantly hot 90 proof (45% ABV) for the ideal balance of flavor and heat. When served neat, hints of toffee, baking spice, caramel apple, bran cereal and pecan come through. When served on the rocks, we pair it with Cocoa Dolce’s Cocoa d’Or: 75% bittersweet Tanzanian chocolate ganache enrobed with edible gold. Cocoa Dolce is found in Wichita, Kansas and is a must-visit if you are in the area.
